Elmira Khak-Vatan, a PhD student in Medical Informatics at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, announced the design and development of a head and neck cancer screening system. She emphasized that many patients seek medical attention late at specialized centers such as the Cancer Institute and stated that the system aims to enable early diagnosis of the disease in its initial stages.

Dr. Seyed Ahmad Seyed Alinaghi, Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Iranian AIDS Research Center and a faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, conducted a research project comparing national indicators of tuberculosis (TB) and TB with HIV after the implementation of the new clinical guideline. Regarding this study, he stated: Tuberculosis and HIV are two significant diseases, and addressing them and conducting research on them—especially in the context of disease detection in the country's prisons—is of particular importance.

Dr. Simin Zahra Mohebbi , Professor in the Department of Oral Health and Social Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, announced the design and evaluation of an elective course on oral and dental health for medical students at the university. This elective course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of medical students in the field of oral and dental health. Regarding this initiative, Dr. Mohebbi stated: “The foundation of this project is based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO). It provides students with education on the fundamentals of oral health, prevention of oral and dental diseases, principles of nutrition, and trauma prevention.”
