Targeting Tumorigenicity of Breast Cancer Stem Cells Using SAHA/Wnt-b Catenin Antagonist

In this TUMS EDGE episode, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ghahremani discussed his article entitled 'Targeted therapy of breast cancer stem cell tumorigenesis using SAHA and Wnt beta-catenin antagonist loaded on gold nanoparticle protein corona.' Dr. Ghahremani explained that in some cases, cancer cells remain dormant in the body and can cause tumor recurrence. He stated that the growth of cancer stem cells can be inhibited and these cells can be converted into non-cancerous cells by using two drugs, SAHA and a Wnt beta-catenin antagonist.
