Workshop on Strategic and Operational Planning for Disaster Prevention at Tehran University of Medical Sciences

The Health in Disasters and Emergencies Group at the School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, organized a two-day workshop for disaster management leaders and prevention experts from medical universities nationwide. Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Traffic Police, Emergency Medical Services, and Tehran Fire Department, the workshop focused on strategic and operational plans to prevent accidents like traffic incidents, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, and explosive-related injuries, especially during the year’s final Wednesday. Dr. Kazem Naddafi, Dean of the School of Public Health, and General Seyed Teimoor Hosseini, Head of the Traffic Police, highlighted the workshop's importance and the university's role in disaster prevention.

For more than a year, Farabi Hospital officials have been seriously implementing the electronic records process in this center, and by providing the necessary infrastructure and hardware and software platform, they are moving towards eliminating paper records from the treatment process. This process has accelerated with Farabi Hospital being selected as a green hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and today, after a year, more than 60,000 electronic records have been created for patients at this hospital.
