In this episode of TUMS Daralfonoon series, Dr. Amirhossein Jafari-Mehdiabad, a faculty member and the head of Roozbeh Hospital at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, emphasized the importance of suicide prevention and discussed risk factors and methods to reduce suicide rates in society. He pointed out that individuals with a history of suicide attempts are at a higher risk and require screening and regular follow-up. For more than a year, Farabi Hospital officials have been seriously implementing the electronic records process in this center, and by providing the necessary infrastructure and hardware and software platform, they are moving towards eliminating paper records from the treatment process. This process has accelerated with Farabi Hospital being selected as a green hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and today, after a year, more than 60,000 electronic records have been created for patients at this hospital. In this program, sponsored by TUMD GC, Dr. Masoumeh Nataj Majd, a subspecialist in anesthesiology, explains the epidural procedure for pain-free childbirth. She introduces the epidural method as a way to make natural childbirth more comfortable. In this method, the pregnant woman receives anesthesia through a very thin needle, reducing pain during natural childbirth and leading to a more pleasant birth experience. In this episode of TUMS EDGE, Dr. Mohammad Reza Mohajeri Tehrani, Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, explains a new treatment for diabetic foot ulcers using amniotic membrane.
