ضرورت توجه به ناباروری در ابعاد علمی، ملی و اجتماعی

به گزارش روابط عمومی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، کنگره بین‌المللی باروری و ناباروری ایران با حضور اساتید، محققان و متخصصان این حوزه در تهران برگزار شد.
در این مراسم، دکتر حمید چوبینه، عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران و رئیس انجمن علمی باروری و ناباروری ایران، ضمن ابراز خرسندی از حضور در جمع دانشمندان و فعالان این حوزه، مروری بر تاریخچه، دستاوردها و چشم‌انداز آینده این انجمن ارائه داد. وی با اشاره به تأسیس انجمن علمی باروری و ناباروری ایران در سال ۱۳۷۷ به‌عنوان یک انجمن بین‌رشته‌ای با همکاری متخصصان زنان و زایمان، اورولوژی، فناوری‌های کمک باروری و جنین‌شناسی گفت: «این انجمن از بدو شکل‌گیری با تصویب اساسنامه توسط وزارت بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشکی و برگزاری ۹ دوره انتخابات هیئت مدیره با رأی مستقیم اعضا، همواره آموزش، تحقیقات علمی، حمایت از حقوق بیماران و پشتیبانی از متخصصان را رسالت اصلی خود قرار داده است.»
رئیس انجمن علمی باروری و ناباروری ایران با بیان اینکه «ملتی که به دانشمندان خود احترام بگذارد، بلوغ و خرد خویش را نشان می‌دهد»، افزود: این انجمن طی سال‌های گذشته با برگزاری برنامه‌های علمی ملی و بین‌المللی، همکاری گسترده با دانشگاه‌ها و مؤسسات تحقیقاتی و انتشار مجلات معتبر، جایگاه ویژه‌ای در حوزه تولید مثل کسب کرده است.

دکتر چوبینه با اشاره به نقش پیشگامانه شهر یزد در پایه‌گذاری دانش باروری و ناباروری در ایران خاطرنشان کرد: «امروز کشور ما به‌عنوان یک قطب علمی در این حوزه در سطح جهان شناخته می‌شود؛ واقعیتی که در منابع بین‌المللی نیز تأیید شده و نتیجه تلاش خستگی‌ناپذیر اساتید و محققان ایرانی است.»
وی همچنین گفت: توجه به ناباروری تنها از منظر پزشکی کافی نیست، زیرا این حوزه زیربنای بسیاری از شاخه‌های نوین علمی مانند زیست‌شناسی سلولی، مطالعات مولکولی و ژنتیک است. افزون بر آن، حمایت از درمان ناباروری به‌عنوان یک ضرورت ملی و ابزاری مهم در تحقق اهداف جمعیتی کشور مورد تأکید رهبر معظم انقلاب و سیاست‌گذاران قرار گرفته است.

 به گفته او، ناباروری ابعادی اجتماعی و فرهنگی نیز دارد؛ چراکه بی‌فرزندی می‌تواند منجر به مشکلاتی نظیر افسردگی، پرخاشگری و حتی فروپاشی خانواده شود که پیامدهای آن دامن‌گیر کل جامعه خواهد بود. دکتر چوبینه تأکید کرد: «حمایت از تحقیقات ناباروری و متخصصان این حوزه نه تنها ضرورتی علمی، بلکه ضرورتی فرهنگی و ملی است.»

Distinguished professors, esteemed colleagues, dear students, and honored guests
—It is my privilege to stand here today and extend my deepest respect to all the scholars gathered here.
The Iranian Scientific Society for Fertility and Infertility was established in 1998 as an interdisciplinary association by pioneers in obstetrics and gynecology, urology, assisted reproductive technologies, and embryology. Its statute was officially approved by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, and since then, the Society has held nine elections for its board of directors through the direct votes of the members.
From the beginning, the Society has regarded education, scientific research, and professional services—not only patient care, but also the protection of patients’ rights and support for infertility specialists—as its core responsibilities. Over the years, it has worked closely with universities, research institutes, and the Ministry of Health, contributing to the publication of scientific journals and the organization of major conferences.
A nation that honors its scholars demonstrates maturity, wisdom, and gratitude toward those who advance knowledge. Each year, our Society organizes national and international scientific programs. At last year’s 23rd Annual Congress in Tehran, we proudly honored pioneers and leading professors in infertility treatment.
I consider it a great honor to serve in this Society, thanks to the trust of the board of directors. Our achievements have always been built on the dedication of professors, embryologists, and reproductive biology researchers, supported by their colleagues in infertility treatment centers across the country.
The roots of this science in Iran were planted in Yazd. Today, by the grace of God, Iran is recognized worldwide as a scientific hub in this field. This is not a claim of pride or exaggeration, but a fact confirmed in international sources. It is the result of the tireless efforts of our professors and researchers, whose contributions continue to inspire us all.
When Professor Parsanezhad proposed that the leadership of the Society be entrusted to the field of embryology, I was humbled. It gave me the chance to serve alongside my teachers, to learn from them, and to dedicate my efforts to advancing this discipline in service of our nation.
Infertility research has laid the foundation for many modern sciences in our country. Advances in cell biology, molecular studies, and genetics all trace back to early work on gametes and embryo formation.
Today, we must give even greater attention to infertility for three key reasons:    1.    Scientific significance. This discipline underpins many branches of modern science.    2.    National policy. Population growth goals, emphasized by the Supreme Leader and senior policymakers, cannot be achieved without strengthening infertility treatment. Families who long for children deserve comprehensive support.    3.    Social and cultural impact. Infertility is not only a medical condition but also a social challenge. Couples struggling for years without support face consequences such as depression, aggression, or even family breakdown—problems that ultimately affect society at large.
For these reasons, supporting infertility research and its specialists is not only a scientific necessity but also a cultural and national imperative.
I sincerely pray for the continued success of all professors, researchers, and colleagues devoted to this noble and invaluable mission.
