WHO Representatives Visit Shahr-e-Ray DHC’s Center for Skin Diseases
TUMSPR News: Representatives of the World Health Organization visited the Center for Skin Diseases of Shahr-e-Ray District Health Center in line with the organization’s policy in controlling leprosy and its burden on May 26, 2013.
Based on the news by the Public Relations of Shahr-e-Ray District Health Center (DHC) affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), representatives of theWorld Health Organization (WHO) visited the Center for Skin Diseases of the DHC in line with the organization’s policy in controlling leprosy and its burden on May 26, 2013.
Accompanied by the experts of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and experts of TUMS Vice-chancellor’s Office for Health for leprosy control, Dr. Kraus closely examined the Center’s activities in relation to identification, treatment and control of patients with the disease and examined some patients too, as did the rest of the visiting group as part of their monitoring program.
Shahr-e-Ray DHC, one of the three DHCs run by TUMS, is located in South Tehran.
