The New Shariati Hospital will be Iran’s first Mega Hospital

With the good foresight   of   the President  and Management of TUMS, Shariati Hospital, and support from Ministry of health and Ministry of Finance, a 10 hectare site, in district 22 of Tehran was allocated for this very important project.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) announced   that the new site location allows for proper hospital planning and the project will have plenty of parking space, a large green area, a hostel for patient families and many more amenities which are lacking in inner-city urban hospitals. They   also added that
Initial plans calls for an 800+ Bed Education, Research and Healthcare facility with capacity to expand to Iran’s first Mega Hospital with 1500+ Beds in the near future.
Financing for the project is provided by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
