Official Statement by Tehran University of Medical Sciences Condemning the Atrocities of the Zionist Regime

The Zionist regime of Israel, bearing a long and well-documented history of crimes against humanity, has once again engaged in brazen acts of aggression—this time targeting civilian infrastructure and even the peaceful nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These indiscriminate and barbaric assaults have resulted in the tragic loss of countless innocent lives, including defenseless men, women, and children, and have gravely undermined the fundamental human rights to life, security, and health for millions.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as the oldest and most distinguished academic and research institution in the field of health in the country, categorically condemns these flagrant violations of international law and expresses its unwavering readiness to contribute to crisis response efforts through preventive measures, medical treatment, educational outreach, and the provision of scientifically informed strategies to safeguard public health amidst the current adversities.

Furthermore, the university urgently calls upon all scientists, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions across the globe—particularly those committed to the values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ethical principles of medical and academic practice—to actively denounce these inhumane actions. It further calls for decisive and coordinated international responses to the reckless targeting of peaceful nuclear facilities, the environmental and public health consequences of which are likely to persist for generations.

At the end, professor Seyed Reza Raeeskarami, the chancellor of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, stated: following the terrorist attack by the Zionist regime on a residential building adjacent to the university’s dormitory located on Keshavarz Boulevard, part of the dormitory wall collapsed, and several students sustained minor injuries. Despite the structural damage, fortunately no student suffered serious harm, and the university issued an evacuation order for the dormitory.

رژیم صهیونیستی اسرائیل با سابقه‌ی چندین دهه جنایت علیه بشریت، و در ادامه اقدامات تجاوزکارانه خود، این بار مناطق مسکونی و حتی تاسیسات صلح‌آمیز هسته‌ای جمهوری اسلامی ایران را هدف قرار داده است. این حملات وحشیانه، جان‌های بی‌گناه بسیاری از جمله مردان، زنان و کودکان بی‌دفاع را گرفته و حق حیات، آرامش و سلامت را از میلیون‌ها انسان سلب کرده است.

دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران به عنوان قدیمی‌ترین و پیشروترین نهاد آموزشی و پژوهشی کشور در حوزه سلامت، ضمن محکومیت شدید این اقدامات غیرانسانی، آمادگی کامل خود را برای ایفای نقش در زمینه‌های پیشگیری، درمان، آموزش و ارائه راهکارهای علمی در مواجهه با بحران‌های سلامت ناشی از این وقایع اعلام می‌دارد.

این دانشگاه همچنین از همه دانشمندان و نهادهای علمی و دانشگاهی در سراسر جهان که به اصول منشور حقوق بشر و سوگندهای اخلاق حرفه‌ای در عرصه‌ی سلامت پایبندند، درخواست می‌کند تا با ایفای نقش فعال در مجامع علمی و عمومی، این اقدامات ضدبشری را محکوم کرده و به‌ویژه در برابر حملات بی‌محابا به تاسیسات صلح‌آمیز هسته‌ای ـ که پیامدهای ناگوار زیست‌محیطی و سلامت عمومی آن می‌تواند تا سال‌ها منطقه را تحت تأثیر قرار دهد ـ واکنش قاطع و مؤثر نشان دهند.

همچنین دکتر سیدرضا رئیس کرمی رئیس دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران حمله به خوابگاه دانشجویی دانشگاه در بلوار کشاورز را که باعث تخریب بخش هایی از آن شد را شدیداً محکوم نمودند و اظهار داشتند که علی رغم مجروح شدن چند تن از دانشجویان عزیز، خوشبختانه مورد فوتی نداشتیم و خوابگاه سریعا تخلیه گردید.
