Iranian Emergency Services Utilize Motorcycle Ambulances for Rapid Organ Transport
In a medical breakthrough, Iranian emergency services have successfully transported two donated kidneys from Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex to two other hospitals using a fleet of new motorcycle ambulances. The kidneys, donated by a 37-year-old man from Ardabil, were transported in under 20 minutes to Labafinejad Hospital and in just 5 minutes to Rasool Akram Hospital. The rapid and efficient transfer was made possible through a coordinated effort between the Emergency Medical Services Organization, the Ministry of Health's Transplant Department, and the new motorcycle ambulance fleet. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the field of organ transplantation in Iran. The use of motorcycle ambulances allows for faster and more efficient transportation of organs, increasing the chances of successful transplants.
